Wicketz
The Redditch section of the Wicketz programme funded by Lord's Taverners will commence on January 10. It will be held at Trinity High School and Sixth Form Centre Sports hall from 6pm – 7pm and anybody aged 8-16 are eligible to attend.
The sessions, which are weekly and will run until May, are free of charge to participate and no prior signups are required. It’s open to both boys and girls from all ethnic backgrounds and cultures regardless of the physical ability and it will be based around street cricket tape ball games.
Wickez is a programme that uses Cricket as a catalyst to change the lives of young people across UK. The projects are primarily situated in areas where access to sporting activity and facilities are lower than the UK average. The aim of the programmes are to work within these communities, in partnership with local authorities and organisations, to help improve neighbourhoods and break down social barriers.
